| My 55 Gallon tank is home to approximately 30 freshwater tropical fish. Most people notice our 6 Angelfish first. I also have 3 Clown Loaches, a Yo Yo Loach, 2 Chinese Algae Eaters, 10 Bleeding Heart Tetras, 2 Strawberry Tetras, 1 Blueberry Tetras, a Red Velvet Swordtail, and 2 Pink Kissing Gouramis. Filtration is done with a Sump style filter. Water is skimmed from the top of the tank and siphoned down to a 20 gallon tank, bringing the total water volume up to 75 gallons. In the 20 gallon sump is an AquaClear 300 Filter and an Undergravel Filter powered by a Neptune Powerhead. Water is returned to the main tank by a AquaClear PowerHead 802. Another Neptune Powerhead also runs an undergravel filter in the main tank. |
