Welcome to the 2001 Season!

The 2000 Season is over, and ALL of the Cubs showed a TON of improvement last year!  Our last game was very exciting... the Cubs had the lead through 4 innings... holding the Giants to 4 runs in the first inning.  The Cubs scored the maximum 7 runs in the first 4 innings, and made some very nice defensive plays to keep the lead for most of the game.  Unfortunately, the fifth inning was a long one... the Giants batted around their order, and the Cubs couldn't make an out.  The coaches called the game at 9:15 PM due to the fact that it was getting dark.  Yes... the Cubs didn't get their last ups, and yes, it is likely that they would have batted as well or better in the last inning and possibly overtaken the lead again, but remember - the bottom line is TO HAVE FUN!!

The 2001 Cubs will be a new team, with only five players returning from last year.  Our returning players are Jacob Corsi, Nicole Meyer, Laura Speck, Katie McBeath and Emily Roberts.  We also have members of last year's Astros team:  Michelle Pavlik, Anthony Deka, Nathaniel Deka, Michele Hanzlick and Rob Miller.  New to the T-Ball program are Christopher Deka, Ronald Armstrong, Anthony Walden and Danny Bucci.  GO CUBS!!!
