Your bike's frame is a critical, yet often overlooked part of the
bicycle. Frames come in a few sizes - 20", 24", 26" and
27" - right? Wrong. If you buy a bicycle at a department store,
the above statement is true. However, if you visit a local bike shop and
talk with a bike professional, you will find that one of the first things they
do is "fit" you to a properly sized bike frame.
Everyone's body is different - overall body height and leg length are the two
main factors in sizing a person to a bike. If you happen to be riding a
bike that's not "fitted" to your body, you may be experiencing some
discomfort as a result! Bottom line - You get what you pay for at K-Mart -
Visit your local bike shop today!!! :o)
Speaking of comfort, there are two other things that you can do to make your
bike more comfortable - buy a recumbent bike, or invest in a good
seat.
