According to family members, Thomas BRADLEY's mother was an American
Indian. This "story" has been passed down from generation to
generation. It is believed that she was an Iroquois Indian. No
information proving or disproving this theory have been found to date.
With the discovery of the LITTLEFIELD family line, it is obvious that
Thomas' mother was English. It is possible that the family story is
referencing the wrong Mother. It may be possible that Abigail KELTON
(ID-1243), Tamsin ROUSE (ID-1312), Katherin ??? (ID-1325), or Mary ???
(ID-1328) could be of Indian descent. Nothing is known of their
ancestors at this time. Indians have been known to adopt English
names, the most famous being Pocahontas, who adopted the name Rebecca
when she was baptized a Christian.
