Porter served in the Civil War. He arrived back to Ohio from Indiana
just in time to go to war. He was discharged for illness, became
well, and went right back in. He was captured by the Confederate
Army. After the war, Porter and his brother-in-law Henry BRADLEY
moved to Blissfield, MI.
